The Seasons of Bright
Bright is famous for its seasons!
Summertime in Bright means fun in the river, or one of our two pools. Mucking around in the Bight splash park, lazy days and some fishing time. If you are energetic, hiking or mountain bike riding or simply riding along the bike paths with the family.
And lets not forget the El fresco dining and coffee spots to sit and read or chat with friends.
The area is green and lush with beautiful deciduous trees lining the main streets of Bright.
Bright weather in Autumn is often still warm. With the warm weather but fresh morning you can see the trees starting to turn. The variety of colour displayed is spectacular and like Spring, it is a photographers paradise.
The area is well known for its skiing. With its close proximity to Mt Hotham, Falls Creek and Mt Buffalo, Bright is the perfect base for a winter stay!
You can take a day out and visit Mt Buffalo, which is great if you have kids, you can have heaps of fun tobogganing or just enjoy the scenery!
If you want to go skiing, you have the option of going up to Mt Hotham or Falls Creek for the day.
Plus, you can take a day out and stay around town enjoying time off the mountain.
This is a beautiful time to visit Bright, and enjoy the beautiful flowers, and everything that Bright has to offer. There are a lot of event on at this time - the Spring Festival and the Bright Rod Run being two of the big ones. See more on our Events page.
